On October 27th, 2007; 13 Leadership campers from Perris, San Jacinto, Hemet, and San Diego joined together to respond to the call, given by Shadow Mountain Church’s Prisoner Ministry Director, Tom Heyer for much needed items for their evacuation site. This was a great opportunity for our Leadership Campers to put the skills they are learning at camp into action.

The campers that come to Leadership camp are labeled the most “at-risk” children in the nation. The risk of following the tradition of mom or dad’s “cycle of crime” is even greater for these kids.

Disaster strikes everyone differently, at Calicinto we model to our campers that we need to
reach out to others who are in need and be Christ hands of love extended.
